Gen Z & The Corporate Reboot

Why This Conversation Can’t Wait Anymore
Walk into any office today and you’ll hear two parallel monologues.
From one side of the floor:
“These Gen Z kids don’t stay. No patience, no loyalty.”
From the other:
“They keep talking about ‘paying dues’ but won’t even listen. If I can’t grow here, I’ll grow somewhere else.”
Same building, same Wi-Fi, completely different worlds.
Gen Z & The Corporate Reboot is my attempt to put both sides in one room, shut the door, and say: “Chalo, ab baat karte hain properly.” Let’s talk properly..
Inside the Book: One Summit, Two Generations, No Filter
Instead of writing another theory-heavy management book, I designed a four-day leadership summit as the core storyline.
In the room:
Four Gen Z professionals – sharp, restless, allergic to corporate drama.
Four mid-level managers – carrying targets, teams and years of organisational baggage.
One moderator – pushing uncomfortable questions from both sides.
Each chapter is built around a real corporate fault-line:
Loyalty vs. “I’m not here forever”
Hierarchy vs. the need to challenge openly
Constant feedback vs. manager fatigue
Work–life boundaries vs. hustle culture
Purpose vs. “not every job can save the world”
Side hustles vs. perceived disloyalty
Digital habits, late-night messages and respect
No jargon. No sugar-coating. Just the kind of conversations that usually happen in airport lounges, cafeteria corners and WhatsApp chats brought to the surface and structured so leaders can actually use them.

What You’ll Walk Away With
By the end of Gen Z & The Corporate Reboot, you’ll have:
A new definition of loyalty that works for 18-month stints and 18-year veterans.
A practical way to separate disrespect from discomfort in team conversations.
A playbook to design growth paths Gen Z believes in without blowing up your org chart.
Tools to run better one-on-ones and feedback sessions that don’t drain managers.
A simple lens to channel side-hustle energy into intrapreneurship instead of attrition.
Language that both generations can use without rolling their eyes.
Every major debate ends with clear, separate takeaways:
“For Leaders & Managers” – what you can do differently from tomorrow.
“For Gen Z Professionals” – how to push for what you want without burning bridges.

Why I Wrote This Book
I’m Shekhar Attri – Special Forces veteran, corporate security leader, and now author.
I’ve led men in conflict zones where trust and clarity meant survival, not just good performance ratings.
I’ve worked in large global corporations where risk, culture and people dynamics are as real as any battlefield.
I’ve watched younger employees come in with incredible potential and I’ve watched organisations lose them for reasons no dashboard captured.
My Special Forces years taught me a lot about human behaviour under pressure, motivation, teamwork and leadership.
My corporate years showed me how those same principles succeed or fail, inside boardrooms and business units.
Gen Z & The Corporate Reboot is where those two worlds meet.
